How can you motivate your team during slow periods .

“If you are working on something that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you.” — Steve Jobs

You can’t always stay motivated but you should always have the passion and vision for your work and that’s what drives every individual to be the best in what they do .

A business might have good days and bad days, but it doesn’t need to impact any individual. Anyhow ,there are many activities which can be implemented and motivate teams to engage and increase productivity. The following are some examples of initiatives I recommend:

Upskilling - As every individual have goals to enhance their knowledge and skills to be more productive and  engaging with their work in a given time limit or become quicker. Learning new skills would help them to have greater advantage in coming days.

Incentives -  As a Personal trainer , we always have an incentive based work ,but during slow days sometimes it becomes more challenging for any individual to be more driven . However , revamping  incentives program may help employees to be more motivated to achieve individual or team goals .

Fun activities - it’s always good have fun activities with your team . Engaging the team members in small activities will help them get more connected and be able to collaborate more effectively . Activities like Group discussion , two truths and a lie and many more like these will strengthen the bond between the team members and build confidence and enthusiasm to work together.

Self reflection - Every individual in a team must practice self reflection . Self reflection is one of the best tools to examine oneself, one’s own thoughts , feelings ,actions to improve themselves in certain areas of life which they think needs to be changed . It encourages brainstorming and questions such as (What if?). It helps them to come up with ideas  that have never been practiced before .
